Application
Core barrel are used for cutting an annular ring in rock or concrete (also reinforced concrete)
The center core is usually broken with round shank picks, rock auger or cross cutter.
The advantage of using the core barrel is the concentration of the crowd force and torque on small ring of cutting teeth.
